Josh Thirion, has been confirmed as The Best of the Best on the international stage.
Global accolades keep flocking in for Josh (13), who just four months ago won the Special Award of the Jury at the Gourmand Awards held in China.
His latest feat saw Josh being granted the accolade for The Best of the Best Children’s Cookbook in 20 Years during an awards function that was held in Germany at the weekend.
It is a huge honour for Josh, who as a nine-year-old became the youngest published author and chef when he released his first cookbook in 2012.
For the award in Germany, Josh was up against some of the best authors of international children cookbooks but the young South African chef belied his age when he stood out head and shoulders above the rest to claim the biggest award of his career.
Josh had previously stated that just by virtue of merely being a nominee for the award was enough honour for him. But he exceeded even his own expectations by bringing home the award.
As has always been his motto in life, the award proves that it is possible for young people to achieve their dream when they pursue what they are passionate about.
